After graduating from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Göksan Ataman completed a one-year AIESEC internship at IBM Australia and after returning to Turkey, he started his career as a customer representative at IBM Türk in 1988. As a customer representative, he maintained relations of leading national and international companies in the Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Distribution and Retail sectors with IBM between 1988 and 1998. Between 1998 and 2000, he worked as a Distribution and Retailing Segment Manager at IBM. He served as a Solution Manager for IBM’s GMB (Global Midmarket Business) customers. Between 2000 and 2001, IBM’s SMB (Small Medium Business) focused on win-back customers using competing products. Between 2001 and 2004, he ensured that IBM’s e-business solutions such as e-ticketing and kiosks, which were used in the airline sector, were sold, and implemented in Turkey. From 2006 to 2016, as Sales Transaction Hub Bid Manager, he supported the implementation of contract terms and conditions for public and private sector ITS and GBS complex tenders. He retired in 2016 under the IBM Retirement plan. He has been working at Astera since 2021 as a Human Resources Consultant.
